"It slices, it dices, it juliennes". If those words bring a smile to your face. Then you're one of the millions who were fascinated in the 60's and 70's when the original pitchman, Ron Popeil, appeared on our televisions and told us how much easier our lives could be if only we owned the Chop-O-Matic. It was before we knew what an infomercial was. But it is ingrained in many of our psyches. Though the Chop-O-Matic spurred many spin-off choppers and even brought the the term "O-Matic" into the English lexicon, it is no longer available through retail outlets.
From time to time this American icon does come up for auction on eBay. We've provided a list of current auctions, if any, below. We'll be honest and admit it, there are better food choppers on the market today. But there's something about sharing our memories with those too young to know what "RonCo" means that makes owning an original "Chop-O-Matic" worth the trouble of finding it.
